This is one very, very good place to eat breakfast or lunch…I prefer breakfast here because the food is very well done and the service is also really great….But let’s start with the food….One of my favorites is the OATMEAL PANCAKES with fresh berries in them and warm maple syrup….Hmmmmmm….really tasty! I think nobody makes a better pancake. Period. You can always get the 3 stack and split it with somebody and then split another one of their very tasty dishes.The ambiance is all western which makes it a FUN place to eat. On Sat and Sun mornings you can expect a short wait…but it’s really worth it! It’s very American fair — I think it’s one of the best places on the Peninsula for a great breakfast. I’d rate this one an 8.5 out of 10 because of its great food, great atmosphere and great service. A must go for breakfast….$$ 1/2 out of $$$$$

If you’re really hungry and you’re looking for a ‘man sized’ meal then this is the place….The portions are generous and the quality is very good. It’s packed during weekend mornings…but that’s a good thing…Eh? Packed means it’s good…and this is good! You can wait out front in a protected little waiting area if it’s chilly…the longest you’ll wait is 15 minutes…It’s got a bit of a ‘cult’ following for breakfast people in Carmel….I’d give this an 8 out of 10.$$ 1/2 out of $$$$$

THE LODGE (at Pebble Beach of course!)
If you’re looking for an INCREDIBLE place to have breakfast…..then look no further than this wonderful Peninsula setting…Just park in the self-park lot and walk into The LODGE’s front door and CAZAMMMM!! You’ve been transported to another planet — well almost — but really you won’t believe these views of the 18th hole of Pebble Beach’s world famous golf course and Stillwater Cove….MAGNIFICENT!!!!The food is very good, but the ambiance is better and the VIEWS are as good as they get in all the world…Go for breakfast or LUNCH! It won’t break the bank but you’ll feel like you’re a king/queen…I give it a 10 out of a 10 $$$ 1/2 out of $$$$$

RED HOUSE CAFE
This is one wonderful little restaurant…It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is easy to find (right on the main street of downtown Pacific Grove) and they make a fantastic breakfast! I especially like the spinach fricotta, but that is just one of 10 really stand-out dishes. You can sit out on the porch or out at the sidwalk tables — or inside — either way it’s a delightful and cozy place to eat! Lunch is outstanding too! Big sandwiches or 1/2 sandwitch and bowl of their fresh soup ALWAYS makes for a satisfying meal. The food is high quality, made from scratch with a slight gourmet flair…but the prices are very reasonable. Cute little house (literally) that is one of PG’s best spots to eat. I give this one 4 stars out of 5. Excellent quality…great atmosphere…reasonably priced. $$ out of $$$$ price wise.
