Ok ….if you’re looking for the best Athletic club….look no further! This and he Monterey Sports Center are by far the best workout facilities on the Monterey Peninsula. Hands down…no competition! This club is both reasonably priced and BEAUTIFUL!!!The owner is a very good friend of mine and he has taken this worn out old club of yesteryear and turned it into something very special! The moment you get out of your car in the large parking lot you realize this is not your typical Athletic Club….Set at the gates of the prestigious Santa Lucia Preserve this club has, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful settings you’ll ever experience.The tennis courts are first rate (in fact the club received the coveted national award from the US Tennis Association as the Club of The Year in ’07) as is ALL the brand new equipment, Classes of all types galore and the staff is as friendly as can be.
I can’t say enough about this “little” club! It has Yoga, Hot Yoga, Spin Class (stationary bike class), Palates, Dance, Free Weights, Machines, tread mills, bikes, aerobics, personal trainers…..If you can dream it up….they have it. FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY!! Oh did I forget to mention it has 2 pools, Bach i ball courts, 12 tennis courts, gourmet snack bar, observation deck….and more coming!!!!! Just about every few months they introduce something new…Very committed and creative folks!Do yourself a favor and join this club!! (I should be getting paid commission — Eh?)$$ out of $$$$$I’d give this place a 10 out of 10An exceptional value!!!Worth the drive from: Carmel, Carmel by the Sea, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel Highlands, Carmel Valley (of course!), Otter Cove, Yankee Point
